The code works once and expires after 10 minutes. The PC appears in your list as soon as it enrolls; then pair it by scanning its QR code.

Scan the QR code shown in Beam's setup window on the PC, or paste the beam://pair link or the 32-character access key.

Encrypted vault
On: your device keys are encrypted with a key derived from your password and stored on the server, so any browser can connect right after you sign in with the password. Off: keys never leave the devices you paired on, and every new browser must scan the QR code. Either way the server never sees a key.
